The Parenting Challenge
So many of us wonder why parenting is such a challenging endeavor. Why are we lost in something that we should intuitively know how to do – raise our children. And among all the many things we learn in life, how are most of us ill prepared when it comes to parenthood.
We have a vague idea of the mother or father we want to be - or don’t want to be, but once the harsh reality kicks in, we instead find ourselves parenting the same way we were parented, passing on unhealthy generational patterns. And those outdated strategies are very likely causing more harm than good, either leaning towards authoritarian or permissive methods.
The good news is that there has been a tremendous amount of research in the last few decades that has brought us insight and answers to the question “what is the right thing to do”.We don’t have to “believe” one philosophy or another, we have the science that tells us how to raise self-confident, resilient and happy kids. I am here to support you become the parent you want to be. You will learn skills that are going to transform not only your relationship with your children but also your relationship with yourself and those around you. This is not about quick fixes but deep personal work – it takes courage but the benefits will stay with you for the rest of your life.
Reviews
Daniela and I first met when our children were starting elementary school. At the time, I knew her in a different professional capacity and simply as another mom in our community. Living in a smaller town, our lives occasionally intersected socially, and over time, I came to consider her a good friend.
A few years ago, Daniela reached out to me and a couple of other moms to participate as practice clients in a course she was taking. Initially, I was hesitant and didn’t feel particularly drawn to the idea, but something nudged me to say yes. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time.
As the course drew to a close, I felt a sense of disappointment—it had been a deeply rewarding experience. Through the process, I explored parenting challenges, questioned old beliefs, and began developing a more personal and intentional guide for my life. Daniela had a remarkable way of encouraging me to see things from new perspectives.
After the course, our relationship evolved yet again. Daniela became more than just a friend; today I call her my parenting therapist but that doesn’t fully define the scope. Our weekly sessions have been nothing short of life-changing. Each conversation feels like a dialogue with my higher self, facilitated by her insight and skill.
Daniela has a unique ability to ask thoughtful questions and bring to light aspects of myself that I hadn’t fully acknowledged. She challenges me to reexamine ingrained parenting habits and long-held beliefs, helping me discern what truly aligns with my values versus what I’ve carried from my upbringing or environment. Her guidance has helped me reconnect with my intuition and focus on the person and parent I aspire to be.
I genuinely believe Daniela is a gift from the Universe. Our sessions often feel as though something greater is at play, guiding us toward transformation and clarity. Her brilliance, compassion, and seemingly unexplainable skill have had an extraordinary impact on my life.
I am profoundly grateful that I said yes to her invitation years ago. I cannot recommend her enough—she has been a true blessing and a guiding light in my journey.
